AgentsKit

AgentsKit is an open-source JavaScript and TypeScript framework for building AI agents without assembling separate libraries for each layer. The dependency-free core defines six contracts; runtime, adapters, tools, memory, RAG, observability and UI each plug into it and can be replaced without rewriting the rest.

It ships 22 npm packages covering a ReAct and planning runtime, 25 native adapters reaching 140+ providers and 5,000+ catalogued models, 50 tool integrations plus MCP servers, 17 memory backends, and 7 UI bindings for React, Vue, Svelte and terminal. A CLI scaffolds projects, runs agents against any provider and diagnoses setup.

The wider ecosystem is also MIT licensed: Chat for agent interfaces across web, desktop, CLI and mobile, a Registry of ready-made agents installed as source, plus Agents Playbook, Doc Bridge and Code Review. AKOS is a separate optional commercial control plane for teams needing governance, RBAC and managed infrastructure; it does not gate the open-source stack.
